MAP’s Principal Designate in today’s TES
26 March 2010
Headteacher Helen Mathieson is moving from one of England's most successful schools to one of its least successful, a move that will see her make the short hop from the Cornish side of the River Tamar to the Devon bank.
She is swapping Treviglas School in Newquay - where she has been for 25 years - for Tamarside. Ms Mathieson will be the first female leader of Tamarside, which is in the most deprived area of Plymouth. It is to become the UK's first marine academy on September 1.
