Curriculum

Our commitment is to offer a broad, and exciting curriculum that enables each individual to become an effective learner who can go on to realise their ambitions; the specialisms of Technology and Science, and the themes of Marine and Environment being central to the curriculum and students’ learning.

Our curriculum will develop the student as a whole person: each student will be able to lead a team and be a team member; take initiative and be enterprising; be encouraged to make their contribution to the wider community and the environment.

Students will be offered an exciting range of range of subjects. Enrichment through additional courses and activities before and after school, at weekends and in school holidays, will increase the opportunities available to students.

Courses, learning and assessments will be organised to best meet the needs and aspirations of the individual student. The Academy will use the University of Plymouth and Cornwall College in order to extend and enrich learning.
